Nitrox, Mixed Gas and Deep Air Diving Services
Expert Deep Air Diving and Mixed Gas Diving Services
Nitrox, deep air diving and mixed gas diving are specialized approaches that allow work to be performed beyond standard stay times and depth levels – typically between 50- 300 feet below surface level. While deep air diving utilizes compressed air, and mixed gas diving uses specialized mixtures such as heliox – each allows divers to safely perform inspections, repairs, and maintenance in challenging, deep water environments. As depth increases, mixed gas systems allow divers to work deeper, stay productive, and safely complete complex underwater repairs and inspections on critical infrastructure. In shallower depths, when maximizing bottom time matters, UCC utilizes Nitrox to increase the bottom time over standard air diving.
As one of the industry’s leading commercial diving companies, UCC combines years of diving expertise with the latest technology, equipment, and training processes. Our team of skilled and certified divers, as well as experienced tenders and project supervisors, execute nitrox, deep air and mixed gas diving operations with unrivaled efficiency, accuracy, and safety.

Advanced Nitrox, Air & Mixed Gas Diving Capabilities

UCC offers industry-leading technology and equipment to support inspection, maintenance, repair, and construction projects deep under the surface. With both conventional compressed air diving systems, nitrox systems and advanced mixed gas equipment, ROVs, and more, we can support even the most demanding underwater projects.
While other contractors may rely on pre-mixed gas deliveries and transported gas inventories, UCC leverages on-site mobile gas blending and nitrox systems. This equipment allows us to mix breathing gases topside directly at the project site – using nitrogen or helium, and oxygen to create precise dive mixtures as conditions require. This provides greater operational flexibility, improves diver safety, and reduces delays caused by gas supply logistics – helping our customers minimize downtime on critical infrastructure.
While breathing gas supplies are based on specific project conditions, our diving operations often utilize:
- Compressed Air for Deep Diving at 100-190 feet
- Enriched Air Nitrox Breathing Gas, Surface-Supplied, at 90 feet or less
- Helium-Oxygen Breathing Gas, Surface-Supplied, at 190-300 feet
Underwater Construction Corp’s turn-key underwater inspection, maintenance, and repair capabilities can support your operations, even in applications deep under the surface. Explore our full line of commercial underwater services.
